Remembering Jim.

Vicki Petris described her rescue Bedlington, Jim, as a "diamond in the ruff". Jim crossed the Rainbow Bridge a few years ago. Vicki and her other dog, Ted, remember Jim with great love in their hearts and miss his wonderful enthusiasm for life. Every time they would come home, Jim would celebrate by racing through the house and getting himself a drink! It seemed as if Jim worried that the water bowl might be empty or frozen as it had been in his past. Jim never had to worry about food, water, or a warm place to sleep once he came to live with Vicki. In fact, Jim slept on the bed every night until the end of his precious life. From the beginning, Vicki and Ted had promised Jim he would never be cold again and he never was. Even with the issues of owning a second-hand-dog, Vicki and Ted would not have missed living with or loving Jim for anything in the world. In the end, Jim was a brave little dog. He left this world wrapped in a warm blanket with the love of Vicki and Ted next to him on the floor. Vicki and Ted know that Jim will be waiting for them along with Timmy, Bobby, Tommy, and Squirt on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. They look forward to hugging everyone again someday. Vicki reminisces about the time each one of her dogs began the journey over the Rainbow Bridge and with each one, whispers in their ear, "Until I see you again, I LOVE YOU!" Vicki and Ted with to thank BTCA-HEART for the wonderful work they do in speaking for those who can not speak for themselves.
