Thank you Mary and Robert for loving Leo.

In early July, 2010 HEART received an e-mail from a city worker in Sacramento, CA that there was a Bedlington mix in the city kill shelter.  It took one phone call from Lisa Clarkson to Pat Mills.  Within a few hours, Leo was being fostered at Pat’s home, just north of Sacramento.

Within a day Mary and Robert of San Juan Capistrano had committed to have Leo join their family.   Getting from northern California to southern was a breeze.  Pat and another friend going to a dog show got Leo as far as Simi Valley where he was picked up by his new family.

Leo is a little boy, weighing about 10 lbs.  Somehow he has emerged as leader of his new pack.  Leo is seen here with his new step-brothers and duck cousin.  He has a beautiful yard to play in and loving parents.  He hasn’t been swimming yet but who knows what the future holds for this lucky boy.
